STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL:
Each year students and staff work together to vote for a class member to act on their behalf on the Naranga Student Representative Council (SRC). An SRC member is someone who demonstrates the school expectations and is a positive role model for the Naranga Community. Members meet weekly with the school principal to voice ideas and opinions that their peers feel important to make Naranga the best it can be. This can be around activities in the school, uniform, fundraisers and safety. The SRC members also run the whole school assemblies on a Wednesday morning.
CELEBRATING STUDENT SUCCESS:
We enjoy celebrating the success of our students. This includes academic successes as well as social/behavioural success. We celebrate student success in the following way:
HOUSE SYSTEM:
Students at Naranga are allocated to a 'House'. There are four 'Houses' names after our four values:
SAFE HOUSE
RESPECTFUL HOUSE
RESPONSIBLE HOUSE
LEARNER HOUSE
Students are presented with a 'House' t-shirt that they wear at 'House' events. These events include: Athletics Day, Cross Country etc.
Students also attend 'House' meetings. These meetings aim to engage students in activities with students from across the school to build on their social network. We hope that student develop a further sense of connectedness as their make stronger friendships.
